BrightWhistle Wins Facebook® PMD Innovation Competition

Atlanta, GA – BrightWhistle announced today that it has been named a winner of the 2014 Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) innovation competition for the company’s latest enhancement to its healthcare marketing solution. BrightWhistle was selected by a cross-functional group of Facebook jury members as the most innovative product in the “In-Store Sales” segment of this year’s competition.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award from Facebook. The fact that BrightWhistle was chosen as a winner in what is typically considered a retail category speaks to the growing trend of consumerism in healthcare,” said BrightWhistle CEO Greg Foster. “In a consumer world, healthcare companies are finding that building and nurturing customer relationships is increasingly important to growing their businesses. Our solution allows the healthcare marketer to create and execute personalized campaigns for both acquisition and re-marketing out of a single relationship management system.”

With the addition of this new award-winning feature set, BrightWhistle clients can now take advantage of formulas derived from a combination of client provided and anonymous Facebook data to greatly enhance the performance of existing and prospective patient campaigns. Patients can now be engaged directly within a vibrant digital medium as a means to further clinical outcomes, and consumers can be provided relevant messaging designed to drive better healthcare decisions.

As part of the competition, BrightWhistle demonstrated how the company and its clients such as Piedmont Healthcare, one of Georgia’s largest hospital systems, are pioneering the use of Facebook as a highly effective approach to healthcare marketing and addressing the challenges faced by an industry requiring both fee-for-service revenue as well as outcome-based reimbursement. Data gathered recently from Piedmont marketing campaigns powered by BrightWhistle’s solution revealed an ROI over 10:1 for several service lines.

“BrightWhistle has radically changed the way we approach Facebook and helped us appreciate its power to influence healthcare decisions,” said Matt Gove, Piedmont Healthcare’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Their comprehensive solution for marketing and relationship management is changing the way we budget, the way we staff and the way we move patients to choose Piedmont and stay with Piedmont. It’s an exemplary partnership.”
