Orlando Health Selects MEDSEEK to Create 360-Degree Patient Experience

Birmingham, AL — MEDSEEK, the industry’s only provider of the optimal 360-degree online healthcare experience, has announced its engagement to develop and deploy a fully integrated patient experience for Orlando Health.

“We selected MEDSEEK’s solutions because of their exceptional track record in implementing similar experiences for other large healthcare organizations like ours,” said Beth Patino, MBA, Orlando Health’s Chief, Projects and Administration Officer. “Because we serve such a large geographic area, the connectivity of our systems will facilitate a seamless patient experience among all our facilities.”

The delivery of MEDSEEK’s proprietary eHealth ecoSystem and 360-degree Patient Experience enables Orlando Health to meet Meaningful Use Stage 1 guidelines and provides a single, comprehensive patient interface to multiple EHRs.

“In order to meet the immediate Meaningful Use goals, MEDSEEK will be delivering Orlando Health’s patient experience in a phased approach, achieving Stage 1 requirements and establishing the framework to meet and exceed the requirements of Stages 2 and 3.” said MEDSEEK CEO, Peter Kuhn. “Ultimately, the MEDSEEK patient experience allows Orlando Health to attract and engage patients and empower them to manage their own health care, leading to improved outcomes and quality of care.”

The MEDSEEK 360-degree eHealth ecoSystem solves the problem of connecting to multiple EHRs while providing an intuitive, enhanced patient experience.

“Orlando Health currently employs four different inpatient and outpatient systems, all of which provide a patient portal of one kind or another but none provides the connection among all four systems,” said Beth Patino. “Because the MEDSEEK solution is vendor-agnostic, it can bypass those individual logins to create a single sign-on patient experience.”

Features implemented in Phase 1 of the implementation include the core Patient Experience package, the Sprint to Meaningful Use package to facilitate the exchange of inpatient and ambulatory clinical data and meet Meaningful Use Stage 1 criteria, appointment requests and bill payment. Phase 2 extends the messaging capabilities to provide referral requests, prescription renewals and adds MEDSEEK’s mobile solution and additional features, while Phase 3 will see the introduction of eVisits, a patient friendly, Web-based system for conducting virtual consultations with physicians.
