ProctorU Forms Two New Partnerships Amid Huge Expansion
Hoover, AL – ProctorU, a Hoover-based online exam proctoring service, has significantly expanded its operations by establishing an international partnership network that will add 100 employees in the U.S. and a technical support center in the Philippines.
ProctorU partnered with Scottsdale, Arizona-based Proctorio and Newton, Massachusetts-based Software Secure to launch an automated proctoring with professional review service. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal will pair Proctorio’s Learning Management System platform with ProctorU’s team of 500 proctors.
“This partnership made a lot of sense as a new offering in the market,” ProctorU CEO and President Don Kassner said. “Now with automated proctoring and professional review, our well-trained proctors can review hundreds of hours of recordings more efficiently and provide institutions all the documentation they need for any suspected breach of academic integrity. It really is the best of both worlds.”
This fall, ProctorU will open a 5,000-square-foot proctoring center in Austin, Texas, that will house an estimated 100 employees.
The company will also open a technical support center housed within Software Secure’s own technical support center in Davao City, Philippines.
Software Secure will provide the staffing and supervision to accommodate backend review and auditing of exam sessions, and its employees will receive training from ProctorU on their processes, according to a release from the company. Software Secure will add 60 employees by the end of the year for the partnership.
“Since ProctorU operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we want to offer our global client base enhanced overnight support,” said Jarrod Morgan, chief strategy officer of ProctorU. “Our partnership with Software Secure allows us to leverage their facilities and expertise in remote proctoring to better serve all of our clients regardless of their time zone.”
With the expansion to Texas, ProctorU now has five locations in Hoover, Folsom, California; Livermore, California; and Gilbert, Arizona. To date, the company has proctored more than two million exams in 129 countries.
